About your Designer…
Betty Manzano was in the Interior Design field for over 15 years where she was a residential designer for Sciuga Custom Builders.  As their designer for model homes she was also their lead designer for the Parade of Homes from 2004 -2009 and her work received many first place awards. Betty’s ideas were always innovative, unique, and very creative bringing fresh and vibrant themes to the show each year. She retired in 2009 from the residential field where she took a hiatus from design and accepted a management position at Yankee Candle located in the now Destiny Mall. The change was refreshing and challenging as new ideas came from the retail environment.

She also studied at Onondaga Community College where she received her Associate of Science degree in Interior Design. As a member of Phi Theta Kappa, and the national Kitchen and Bath association, her work was showcased in several of Onondaga Community College Campus art exhibits. She was also the first recipient of the Anne Demore Davis Memorial Award, presented by the National Kitchen and Bath Association. Her work also held position in the third floor lobby of The Whitney Technology Center during several semesters as inspiration to upcoming students. Recently she was invited back to Whitney as a key speaker to the upcoming Design students. There she presented her one of a kind “Happily Ever After Series”; a collection of five Disney Inspired designs created for those who wish to experience the magic of Disney here at home.

This new path of design has resulted in one of a kind weddings, showers, and private events.  Her Victorian Winter Wonderland was featured in " SW Syracuse Wedding" magazine as their quarterly "Real Wedding"  that was held at Mohegan Manor.

Several years ago Betty partnered with The George and Rebecca Barnes Foundation on James Street, Syracuse New York,  and moved her showroom from 2501 Milton Ave, Solvay New York 13209 to a space located on the third floor at the Foundation.  There she has created breathtaking holiday designs based on wonderful classics such as "The Nutcracker Ballet" Twelve Days of Christmas, and Disney Inspired "Frozen" to name a few. Halloween has also been a tradition for the community at the Mansion where she transformed the Mansion based on more Disney inspired classics such as "The Haunted Mansion  Hocus Pocus, Pirates of the Caribbean, and her latest was the 30th anniversary of Beetlejuice, now a Broadway musical.   Her designs have opened the door to the community in a new and exciting way to showcase this beautiful piece of history.  She has collaborated on many of the community fundraisers held at the Mansion and enjoys the annual Magical Christmas where families come together for a holiday Breakfast, share their Christmas Wishes with Santa, and enjoy a host of holiday activities throughout the day.

In addition Betty continues to create and design for Platinum events and  also Decorates the Box Office Windows at the Landmark Theater for the Holidays.

As a designer Betty continues to create, design, and inspire as she shares her talent with the community and others.  You can visit youtube to view her many designs, you wont be disappointed.

New Designs at the Mansion:

Halloween Pumpkin  Bash 2019
Our first floor was magically transformed into animated and haunting "everything pumpkin" design. Our Trick or Treaters enjoyed talking pumpkin heads, phones ringing, books moving along with our "scarecrow room" A delight for everyone!!!
The Night Before Christmas-Disney Style!
 2019
This Holiday classic was re-created with a little Disney inspired magic! Our guests strolled through the first floor experiencing parts of the story in each room.  The stockings were hung, sugar plums danced, and snowflakes glistened. Last stop ended with the most magical part, Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

I also welcomed two new assistants;
Eufemia Gallipeau
Anna Cotter
These two special ladies add their creativity to The Mansion and have been instrumental in bringing these new designs to life.  We Thank them for their hard work and commitment.

 We are  looking  forward to 2021...where the magic continues.
